Restaurant Operations:

At The Cheesecake Factory we offer both Restaurant Manager and Kitchen Manager opportunities in our 3 concepts. Our management career paths offer 5 levels of management. We hire restaurant and kitchen managers and provide them an opportunity to grow and develop at a self-directed pace to General Manager and Executive Kitchen Manager.

Our Restaurant Managers are ultimately responsible for all functions of the restaurant including opening, mid or closing shifts. Specific responsibilities include; guest relations, management, supervision of all staff and staffing levels, ordering and fulfillment of supplies, quality of food and beverage, housekeeping, safety and pace. Scheduling and development of front of the house staff. Financial operations and controls.

Our Kitchen Managers are ultimately responsible for ensuring great food quality and recipe adherence throughout the shift.  As a Kitchen Manager, the responsibilities include all kitchen functions on an opening, mid or closing shift to include food quality management, supervision of all kitchen staff, housekeeping, kitchen set-up, sanitation, safety and pace. Scheduling and development of kitchen staff. Food costs, labor costs and kitchen supplies.  Both positions qualify for industry leading benefits, 55 hour work week, with 2 days off consecutively.  Qualifications for our management positions include 2+ years of solid, full service casual or upscale restaurant management experience.
 
Training Program:

The Cheesecake Factory's management training program is an aggressive, self directed 10-week program covering both staff-level and management-level learning for all management hires. Training begins with a full orientation day conducted by the General Manager and Executive Kitchen Manager.  The Company provides comprehensive training tools and resources; our restaurant management staff provides personalized mentoring.   Each management trainee is assigned a mentor for guidance and support. As a kitchen management or restaurant management trainee you will be required to provide the motivation and initiative needed to complete all learning assignments and achieve the maximum benefit from each training workday.

A Day in the Life of a Kitchen Manager in Training and Manager in Training:

Your management mentor will schedule and oversee each module of your training which includes a weekly one-on-one meeting.  During each module, all managers will follow our Five Daily MUST's which include line cooking, performing kitchen, bar or bakery line checks, participation in the Recipe of the Day review, learning and executing a computer function, and completing assigned daily reading.
