Position Summary: Directs all direct production activity (including mixing, ingredient preparation, depositing, baking, freezing, finishing and packaging) for three shifts, seven day per week operation, to meet company service, quality, cost, safety, and people objectives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Supervises the development and execution of production and crewing schedules that generate service levels consistent with Company objectives.
* Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve service performance.
* Participates in master production planning for intermediate and long scenarios to optimize capacity utilization.
* Develops and manages to standard crewing levels for each position within each department.
* Uses performance feedback information based on standard line speeds and productivity rates to optimize plant productivity and labor efficiency.
* Manages material usage to ensure minimal usage, and maximum yield while maintaining strict adherence to formulations and specifications.
* Works with receiving and purchasing functions to ensure proper rotation and optimum inventory levels for all materials and supplies.
* Develops and implements new methods, procedures and systems to improve cost performance.
* Oversees, directs, and manages production activity to ensure compliance with all formulations, specifications, methods, procedures, and practices so that product quality meets all specifications and standards for wholesomeness, appearance, dimension, weight, flavor, and texture.
* Maintains 900 "SUPERIOR" score or better for AIB sanitation standards.
* Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality performance.
* Manages operation to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulation, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards.
* Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve safety performance.
* Develops and maintains training and development programs that support key performance goals for the Company, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees.
* Maintains a fair and professional work environment that focuses the business objectives, but also balances quality of work-life factors for employees.
* Directs all personnel activities in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
* Attends and participates in all appropriate meetings, and facilitates appropriate communication to supervisors and line employees.
* Participates in capital and expense budgeting processes, and manages to these budgeted levels.
* Responsible for all production and packaging activity and results for three shift, seven day operation, of 60,000 square foot facility with 275 full time employees, producing $50million in gross sales, using approximately $22 million in materials.
* Ability to build a positive and collaborative environment for all levels of employees.
* Conducts all communication and interaction with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

* A minimum of 8 years progressive production experience with a strong preference for experience in food production
* 5-10 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
* Bi-lingual English/ Spanish Required
* Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
* Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, FDA and other Food Safety guidelines.
* Bakery experience preferred
