Receiving Supervisor (Evening Shift) - Rocky Mount, NC

Position Overview: The Receiving Supervisor (Evening Shift) directs all receiving warehouse activities, including truck unloading, issuing ingredients, delegating tasks to warehouse workers.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

* Safety- To ensure all safety standards are met and followed to the fullest. Must be alert at all times and use best common judgement.
* Housekeeping-To ensure the warehouse is maintained clean and litter free at all times, i.e. sweeping, mopping the floor is mandatory as part of housekeeping.
* Security-To ensure the warehouse is secure at all times, i.e. checking all access doors and make sure it is closed at all times. Question, control and report people who do not belong to the warehouse.
* Warehouse Organization- to ensure all ingredients are properly organized and rotated applying first in first out method (FIFO). Also to make sure all open ingredients are taped off with open date applied.
* Product Requisition-To ensure all outgoing ingredients are documented prior to leaving the warehouse. Also, all returned ingredients are documented as well.
* Inventory-To ensure all inventories are counted precisely, and report any discrepancies to the manager and buyer immediately.
* Mental: Ability to stay focused and alert; clear and concise communication; utilize basics math skills; audit paperwork; team player; use of common sense understanding to carry out routine tasks with appropriate follow-up.
* Physical: Keyboard manual dexterity, finger dexterity, wrist, and elbow and forearm rotation. Ability to sit for long periods of time; close vision; ability to hear, speak, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and twist. Ability to work in confined and/or closed area

Qualifications

* A minimum of 3 years experience within the Consumer Manufacturing Industry.
* A proven track record in documentation for all logistics operations, inventory control, procedure, task delegation and employee development.
* Experience with inventory scanning systems preferred.
* Must be an excellent problem-solver with ability to communicate with senior management as well as motivate team members to meet departmental objectives and organizational skills.
